We're doing it again! 5th Annual Iron Horse Trail Motorcycle Show. May 4 and 5, 2013.

Portion of proceeds benefit Kittitas County Red Cross. ABATE donated more than 75% of the profits from the 2011 and 2012 shows to Red Cross. Help us make another great donation!

Help FISH Community Food Bank. Bring one can of food to the event! All food donations go families in our community.

2013 Show updates

Are you ready for another motorcycle show in Ellensburg? Are you ready to bring your gear and bike out from winter storage and ride?

Saturday Schedule - The Saturday run is similar to last year. Registration starts at 10 AM and closes at 1 PM. Ride at you own pace and choose your route - just make the required stops. The run starts at Red Horse and ends up back at Red Horse in time for awards and live music. $5 fee for run participants. Bring 1 can of food to donate to FISH.
WiseBlood will be rocking the house Saturday night at Red Horse Diner. Music starts at 7:30 PM.
Camping is available at Red Horse. Call Breanna or Nicole at Red Horse to reserve space. 509-925-1956.
Come out, join the run, and stay for the music. Camp on the lawn and wake up in the middle of the party. Or, stay at KOA down the road about 1 mile. For more info, see Lodging.
The Sunday show schedule and the site layout are also similar to last year. $10 fee for trophy competition bikes. Registration starts at 10 AM. General admission is free, but please bring 1 can of food to donate to FISH.
The world famous Seattle Cossacks Motorcycle Stunt Drill Team perform at 2 PM.
We have Judges for the trophy categories. Best of Show trophy is still Peoples Choice - everyone can vote for their favorite bike.
We have added new bike categories. See the Rules for a description of all the categories.
Village will play on Sunday starting about 11:30 AM.

The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners proclaimed May 2013 as Motorcycle Awareness Month.
According to the proclamation that ABATE supported:

Tens of thousands of Washington motorcyclists travel the roads, streets, and highways of the Evergreen State in their regular work and school commutes, and in their weekend adventures and vacation rides... Motorcyclists lack the protective armor of trucks and automobiles... it is appropriate to set aside a time to alert motorists to the number of motorcyclists on the road and to help motorcyclists become aware of the ways they can promote safety.

We had a lot of fun Saturday & Sunday. The music was great. The Seattle Cossacks performance was unbelievable. The run, bike games, and trophy winners were happy. We had hundreds of bikes from all over the state, Idaho, and Oregon at the event. Attendance is estimated at 2600+ guests for the weekend.

2010 Saturday run, bike games, camping, and live music.

The first Annual Iron Horse Trail Red Horse to Wild Horse Biker Pentathlon on Saturday was exciting and windy. The 2010 IHTRHWHBP route included stops at:

Iron Horse Inn Bed & Breakfast, just next to the South Cle Elum Railroad Depot (Iron Horse Trail State Park) for a lesson in local history and horseshoes.
Old #3 in Ronald.
Puget Sound Energy Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility - Renewable Energy Center on Vantage Highway, about 16 miles east of Ellensburg. The 3-mile ride up Whiskey Dick Mountain to the ridge is well worth the effort for the view. Gravel road and high winds made the run a workout.
Curly's II Tavern in Kittitas. A perennial favorite watering hole.
Red Horse Diner for the final game of skill. Live music and camping rounded out the Saturday fun.

The Grant's Girls dance team performed on stage in 2010. Sponsored by Grant's Pizza. (Grant's has closed, but we remember the fun times.)
Time Warp 3 and Mr. E rocked all day.

2010 Motorcycle Awareness Month

The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners declared May as Motorcycle Awareness Month on April 6, 2010.

In addition, the Washington State House of Representatives passed House Resolution 4681 which declares the month of May as Motorcycle Awareness month. "A stronger emphasis on motorcycle safety and awareness will make our roads, streets, and highways safer for everyone."
