About A.B.A.T.E.

What does A.B.A.T.E. stand for? ABATE is "A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments" (or if you prefer: "American Bikers Aimed Toward Education")

ABATE is dedicated to freedom of the road.

ABATE is motorcycle enthusiasts from all walks of life that have come together to work for sensible legislation, to foster and promote motorcycle safety, education, and public awareness.

ABATE understands that it is easier to defeat a bad bill before it becomes law than to repeal a bad law that has already passed.

ABATE is a statewide organization with local chapters. Each chapter conducts business according to the guidelines established by the state Board of Directors. The state board is made up of one elected representative from each chapter and state officers who are elected from the general membership. State board and chapter meetings are open to the general membership and the public. You may be an independent member if you do not desire chapter affiliation.

ABATE is a Washington non-profit corporation. Members are active in their communities donating time and materials to many charitable causes and civic activities.

ABATE doesn't discriminate. Anyone over 18 years of age can join. Whoever you are, whatever you ride, and whether or not you hold membership in other clubs or organizations, your membership is welcome and appreciated!
